We have a love hate relationship with brunch, we love having brunch but we hate waking up for it! And if we’re going to set our alarm on the weekend, the brunch better be superb because a lazy Sunday in bed, more often than not, trumps any brunch plans.
Fabergé has been on our radar for awhile, with a huge menu that has vegetarian and gluten free options. The menu ranges from traditional to inventive dishes, omelets, crepes, waffles, French toast, eggs benedict and some fun dishes like a steak burrito, burger, sandwiches and other lunch options. What makes a brunch spot delightful? The potatoes of course! And the potatoes at Fabergé are tasty.
Diva #1 cannot resist a good eggs benedict and the Benny Mac also combined her love of mac n’ cheese. A mac n’ cheese fritter replaced the English muffin, pulled pork and a poached egg was piled high on the fritter with a few drops of jalapeno jelly for some kick. The mac n’ cheese fritter was a touch dry but this eggs benedict was definitely a fun dish and perfect if you can’t choose between brunch or lunch – this combines both!
Chomedey’s Double D went the more conventional root with an eggs benedict with bacon, but roasted tomatoes and St. Paulin cheese provided it with something a little different. Fabergé provides you a traditional brunch experience with a few twists, and a length menu that will suit anyone who is craving sweet or savoury, and even brunch or lunch!
