Canapé Magazine Summer & Autumn 2014 Issues

In summer 2014, we were asked to write an article for a new Montreal foodie magazine that was being released. The theme of the issue was up and coming chefs in Montreal. We never pretend to be unbiased, and we have our own favourite chef, like a mother with a favourite child. We sort of cheated though, as our favourite chef isn’t really up and coming, but already high on top. Chef Antonio Park has been wowing us at Park Restaurant since our first visit. But we fell in love at our second! His omakase tasting menu, which is the Chef’s choice, is perfection. We have recommended Park Restaurant to countless people, and no one has left disappointed. Read about our latest experience and this wonderful chef who puts passion in everything he does in Canapé magazine’s summer issue on pages 17-20 by clicking HERE. And stay tuned for his new restaurant, Lavanderia ,which Montreal is eagerly anticipating.

Of course it goes without saying that there are plenty of other interesting articles in Canapé Magazine and beautiful photos from Jennifer Stowe. She is both the photographer and the editor of the magazine. We love supporting local Montreal talent!

Imagine how happy we were when Jennifer Stowe approached us to write an article for the autumn issue of Canapé Magazine. And when you think fall what do you think of? Well besides mulled wine and adorable leather jackets, the Divas think of Martin Picard’s Cabane à Sucre Au Pied de Cochon. And though you’re probably thinking that going to a sugar shack is more of a winter activity, this isn’t the case with PDC Sugar Shack. Martin Picard reopens his sugar shack in the fall for a special apple season menu. We wrote a condensed version of all four of our visits to the Cabane à Sucre Au Pied de Cochon, with pictures of our favourite dishes that made us swoon, check out pages 10-13 of Canapé Magazine by clicking HERE.

We hope you check out Canapé Magazine, and that we are asked to write an article for their winter issue – hint hint! We have been behaving lately so we have no reason to believe that we won’t be asked to write another article. Sometimes the Divas like pretending to be grownups! Montreal is full of local talent such as writers and photographers, and it is lovely when we can work together to pop out something fabulous like Canapé magazine, perfect for foodies!
