2016 Interviews

With 2017 well on its way we wanted to highlight some fabulous interviews that we did in 2016! Cilantro Cooks did an Expert Interview Series and decided to interview us! What was so interesting about this interview was that the main focus wasn’t about us and how we started, but instead they asked us some interesting questions like the differences between French and French Canadian cuisines.

Cilantro Cooks even asked us for a recipe so we included our Southern Mac n’ Cheese recipe in our interview. It’s a Diva favourite that gets much love from people who have tried making it, and our family and friends who have tasted it. In the last year, our blog has evolved to include recipes, which is highlighted in this interview!

The Food Bloggers of Canada have always been good to us and in December 2016 they included us in their Countdown to the Holidays Day 16 with the Montreal Food Divas, click HERE for that interview. We were among the first to be featured in the Food Bloggers of Canada Friday Featured Blogger series that still runs today, so they decided to throw some love our way for the holidays.

Since we’ve been working with the Food Bloggers of Canada for awhile it was nice to reconnect and show them how our blog has grown over the last five years. We also chatted about staples in our holiday pantry and our favourite holiday recipe.  We shared our Duck Confit & Mushroom Risotto recipe as our favourite holiday treat, and we’ll tell you a little secret, we’ll be collaborating with the Food Bloggers of Canada in the near future, shhhh!

2016 was a whirlwind of fun for the Divas, especially with the addition of the recipe section of our blog.  It has expanded our reach as a restaurant and bar review blog, our audience was Montrealers and people visiting Montreal, which expanded to anyone in the world who is interested in our recipes! We can’t wait to see what 2017 has in store for us.
